Annual gift guide
The recent Connecting Benefits report from PwC Australia highlighted the significant economic impact that small businesses using Facebook can have in Australia – especially regional Australia.
To further grow and contribute to this online community, Facebook Australia decided to showcase 30 small businesses from across regional Australia in an Annual Christmas Gift Guide. Facebook and Now We Collide collaborated to bring the gift guide to life, in what was a vertical video first.
With so many unique businesses and products being featured in the Gift Guide, we had to find an effective creative solution to bring each businesses personality and offering to life, while staying true to the Facebook brand. Working in close collaboration with Facebook’s internal Creative Shop for the on-platform content, we came up with a vertical video design solution, that was art directed down to the devil (in the detail)….with Australian flora appearing in each ‘little vertical shop’ to coincide with the Australian region that particular business is located.
In conjunction with a 2 day film shoot with each of the featured businesses, we captured over 30 styled product stills, to be featured in a one off Facebook Annual Gift Guide brochure, as well as acting as supporting key visual material for all print and digital publications.
Fairfax media provided reach outside of Facebook itself through sponsored content and advertising feature articles across regional, rural and local news sites.
Increased awarenss amongst policy makers of Facebook and Instagram's small business initiatives.
Increased sales for featured small businesses in the lead up to the busy Christmas period.
